FAQ Q1: Is TFmini-S available with 3.3V or other power supply voltage? A1: Sorry, it is not available for the time being. The Standard power supply of TFmini-S is 5V±0.1V. If you have any further requirement, please contact our sales person to consult a customization design matter.
Q2: TFmini-S will heat up after operating for a while. Is it broken? A2: This is the normal operating condition of the product. The temperature of the chip and circuit board will slightly up after a continuous operation, which is a normal case.
Q3: Can TFmini-S be connected with Arduino or Raspberry Pi for use? A3: Yes, it can. TFmini-S adopts serial communication protocol so that it can connect to any control board supporting serial port communication.
Q:Hello, the manual helped me to understand a lot, but i have one question: how i calculate the checksum, if the checksum is over 265(for exampel I would to set a frame rate of 250hz) thank you for the fast help. ich love this device and i will give a good appraisal. A: This is hexadecimal, if the checksum is over 265, you just need the lower 8 bits.
Q: I have the TFmini-S. I've read the manual and read it again and I still don't understand this part: 0--standard data mode 1--I/O,near high and far low 2--I/O,near low and far high Can you expand at all? A: 0 Standard mode is the factory default mode, it means continuous output mode 1 and 2 are both high and low level output modes. For example, if the threshold is set to 5m, then mode 1 means if output below 5m is high level , above 5m is low level; mode2 means if output below 5m is low level , above 5m is high level
Q: Has anyone adapted this for use under water ? I was thinking if encapsulation in acrylic and seeing if it could distance underwater. A: This lidar sensor can not work underwater.
